- Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum + package \n

- Taking full responsibility for the design management of allocated projects. \n
- Managing the design process from pre-construction through to completion. \n
- Developing and managing design programmes and information release schedules. \n
- Coordinating architects, engineers, specialist subcontractors and external consultants. \n
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical information to identify design issues and buildability concerns. \n
- Chairing design team meetings and ensuring actions are progressed. \n
- Managing RFIs, design changes and technical queries. \n
- Ensuring design information is delivered in accordance with the construction programme. \n
- Working closely with site and commercial teams to identify and resolve design-related risks. \n
- Monitoring consultant and subcontractor design performance. \n
- Ensuring designs comply with contractual, statutory and regulatory requirements. \n
- Supporting procurement by ensuring design packages are sufficiently developed and coordinated. \n
- Identifying opportunities for value engineering and improved buildability. \n
- Maintaining accurate design records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle. \n

- Proven experience working as a Design Manager within the construction industry. \n
- A strong track record of independently managing the design function on your own projects. \n
- Experience working for a main contractor would be highly advantageous. \n
- Strong knowledge of the construction process from pre-construction through to completion. \n
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams, consultants and specialist subcontractors. \n
- Strong understanding of design programmes, technical information and construction sequencing. \n
- The ability to identify and resolve design, buildability and coordination issues. \n
- Good knowledge of relevant building regulations and construction standards. \n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills. \n
- Strong organisation and the ability to manage multiple design priorities. \n
- A relevant construction, architectural, engineering or design qualification would be advantageous. \n

- Salary up to £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. \n
