Join Big Creative Academy as a Visual Arts Tutor (Film & Media) and inspire young people aged 16–19 in Walthamstow. This role is perfect for a creative educator or industry practitioner passionate about shaping the next generation of talent in the creative industries.

Day-to-day of the role:

\n
• Plan and deliver high-quality teaching across Visual Arts programmes, focusing on Film, Graphics, and Photography.
\n
• Assess and track student progress using both formative and summative methods.
\n
• Provide pastoral and tutorial support to learners.
\n
• Contribute to course development and curriculum planning.
\n
• Support enrichment activities, including trips and employer engagement.
\n
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement.
\n
• Promote safeguarding, equality, and positive student behaviour.
\n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Essential:

\n
• Degree in a Visual Arts-related subject.
\n
• Experience teaching or working with 16–19 learners.
\n
• Strong practical skills across Visual Arts disciplines.
\n
• Ability to deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and assessment.
\n
• Understanding of safeguarding and supporting young people.
\n

Desirable:

\n
• Teaching qualification (or working towards one).
\n
• Industry experience in Film, Media, Graphics, or Photography.
\n
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud.
\n
• Experience supporting student progress, attendance, and wellbeing.
\n
