Covering 2 Site - Gateshead / Durham£40,000 - £45,000Days / Monday - Friday (Flexi Start & Finish Time) Overtime Available

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business operating across two sites in the North East.

\n

This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrically biased engineer who is looking to move into a permanent days-based position, while still having access to overtime at an enhanced rate.

\n

The successful engineer will work within a busy manufacturing environment, maintaining a range of automated production equipment and supporting the continued reliability and performance of the sites.

The Role\n
    \n
  • Planned and reactive electrical maintenance
  • \n
  • Electrical fault finding and troubleshooting
  • \n
  • PLC fault finding, including Siemens and Schneider systems
  • \n
  • Panel wiring and panel building
  • \n
  • Fault finding on sensors, relays, drives, inverters and motors
  • \n
  • Maintenance of automated production machinery
  • \n
  • Working with palletising equipment and robotic systems
  • \n
  • Diagnosing breakdowns and reducing production downtime
  • \n
  • Supporting continuous improvement and machinery reliability
  • \n
  • Working across two manufacturing sites within the North East
  • \n
  • Ensuring all engineering work is completed safely and efficiently
  • \n
The Candidate\n

The successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer will ideally have:

    \n
  • Minimum 5 years' engineering experience
  • \n
  • Strong electrical maintenance background
  • \n
  • Previous experience within manufacturing or a similar industrial environment
  • \n
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical engineering qualification
  • \n
  • HNC Electrical Engineering would be advantageous
  • \n
  • PLC fault-finding experience
  • \n
  • Experience with motors, drives, inverters, sensors and relays
  • \n
  • Experience working with automated machinery
  • \n
  • Panel wiring experience
  • \n
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • \n
\n

Experience with Siemens or Schneider PLCs, robotics, palletisers or highly automated production equipment would be particularly advantageous.
