\nWe are looking for a proactive and motivatedRepairs Supervisorto join our Property Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering an efficient, customer-focused responsive repairs service across our homes.
\nAbout the Role -Reporting to the Repairs Manager, you will be responsible for supervising repairs and maintenance works across our housing stock, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards.
\nYou will lead and support a team of operatives, apprentices, and subcontractors, providing day-to-day supervision, performance management, coaching and technical guidance. You'll work closely with colleagues across Property Services to ensure resources are effectively planned and customer expectations are consistently met. As a customer-facing supervisor, you'll also be a key point of contact for residents, helping to resolve issues, manage complaints, and ensure a positive customer experience throughout the repairs process.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nLead and supervise responsive repairs and maintenance activities across our housing stock.
\nManage, motivate and develop a team of operatives.
\nCarry out site inspections, quality checks, risk assessments and toolbox talks.
\nEnsure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards.
\nMonitor productivity, performance and service targets, taking corrective action where required.
\nCoordinate labour resources and support effective scheduling of work.
\nManage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring value for money and quality outcomes.
\nInvestigate service failures, delays, complaints and insurance claims.
\nMaintain accurate records, reports and audit trails using IT systems.
\nSupport continuous service improvement through customer and stakeholder feedback.
\nContribute to emergency response arrangements and provide supervisory cover across teams when needed.
\nAbout You -We're looking for someone who can combine strong technical knowledge with excellent leadership and communication skills.
\nYou will have:
\nExperience supervising repairs, maintenance or construction-related teams.
\nStrong knowledge of responsive repairs and property maintenance.
\nExperience managing performance, productivity and quality standards.
\nExcellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
\nThe ability to plan workloads and manage competing priorities.
\nExperience conducting site inspections and health and safety risk assessments.
\nConfidence in managing subcontractors and controlling service delivery.
\nGood IT skills and experience maintaining accurate records and reports.
\nThe ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues, customers and contractors.
\nA full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
