Your Role\n

As a Technical Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering excellence across complex building projects. Reporting to the Head of Building Structures, you’ll lead a talented team of engineers and technicians, guiding technical delivery on diverse projects across multiple sectors. Your Responsibilities\n

In this role, you will:

    \n
  • Lead fee proposals, resource planning, and project delivery.
  • \n
  • Manage and mentor engineers and technicians within a regional team.
  • \n
  • Act as the technical lead on complex building structures projects.
  • \n
  • Conduct site inspections and identify structural issues and solutions.
  • \n
  • Produce and review calculations, drawings, models, and reports.
  • \n
  • Coordinate structural design with multidisciplinary teams.
  • \n
  • Set and deliver structural design strategies aligned with sustainability targets.
  • \n
  • Lead design input at project meetings with clients and stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Ensure compliance with Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act.
  • \n
What We’re Looking For\n

This role is perfect for you if you are:

\n
    \n
  • A Chartered Engineer (CEng) with IStructE or ICE, holding a relevant Civil/Structural Engineering degree.
  • \n
  • Experienced in designing large, multi-storey structures using steel and reinforced concrete.
  • \n
  • Knowledgeable about UK regulations including CDM, Building Safety Act, and Party Wall Act.
  • \n
  • Proficient in designing across steel, concrete, timber, and masonry to European Standards.
  • \n
  • Experienced in site inspections (new builds and existing structures) and identifying structural defects.
  • \n
  • Skilled in TEDDS, Tekla Structural Designer, Masterseries, and Revit, working to ISO19650 BIM standards.
  • \n
  • Proven in checking/design review, technical reporting, and delivering projects on budget and schedule.
  • \n
