Senior Integration Software Engineer – ContractLocation: Leeds / Wakefield – hybrid, with at least 1 day per week onsite and occasional regional travelRate: £395 per day – Inside IR35Contract: 1 September 2026 to 16 November 2026Hours: Full-timeWe are looking for a Senior Integration Software Engineer to support a large-scale integration programme, designing and delivering secure, reliable integrations across complex enterprise systems.The Role You will work within a multidisciplinary delivery team alongside Architects, Business Analysts, Delivery Managers and technical stakeholders. Responsibilities will include:Developing secure APIs, integration services and reusable integration componentsBuilding interfaces using FHIR, HL7 v2.x and RESTful APIsIntegrating with complex enterprise platforms, including EPR and PAS systemsSupporting integration testing, deployment, go-live and early-life supportTroubleshooting integration issues across multiple systemsDeveloping automated unit, integration and API testsWorking within Agile delivery and CI/CD environmentsProducing technical, API and interface documentationSupporting code reviews and maintaining high software engineering standardsEssential Experience Strong enterprise software engineering and systems integration backgroundCommercial experience with FHIRCommercial experience with HL7 v2.xStrong RESTful API and web services development experienceExperience integrating multiple complex systemsCloud-based application developmentGit, CI/CD pipelines and automated testingSecure software development practicesAgile and DevOps delivery experienceStrong technical troubleshooting skillsExperience with integration engines, middleware and event-driven architecture would also be beneficial.Candidates must be comfortable attending the Leeds/Wakefield location at least once per week, with some additional regional travel for technical workshops, testing and implementation activities.TPBN1_UKTJ
