Permanent | London | Hybrid - 3 days per week
\nWe are recruiting an Application Engineer to join the Business Systems team of a leading professional services organisation.
\nThis is a hands-on BI and data role, taking ownership of a business-critical reporting and data platform covering an Enterprise Data Warehouse, Microsoft Power BI/Fabric and Azure Data Factory.
\nYou'll combine strong technical skills with application ownership, troubleshooting and stakeholder engagement.
Key responsibilities\n- \n
- Own and support key BI and data applications \n
- Manage upgrades, enhancements, defects and security updates \n
- Develop and optimise reporting and data solutions \n
- Build and maintain integrations and data flows \n
- Troubleshoot complex application and data issues \n
- Work with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions \n
- Manage third-party vendors and support cases \n
- Maintain technical documentation, governance and change controls \n
- Help shape the future roadmap of the BI and data platform \n
- \n
- Expert SQL skills, including stored procedures and functions \n
- Strong Power BI and DAX experience \n
- Strong data warehousing knowledge - Kimball and/or Inmon \n
- Semantic modelling and paginated reporting experience \n
- Hands-on Azure Data Factory experience \n
- REST API and/or OData integration experience \n
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability \n
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills \n
Desirable experience includes Microsoft Fabric, Tabular Editor, DAX Studio, ALM Toolkit, DevOps/CI/CD and previous experience within legal, professional services or another regulated environment.

Hybrid working with 3 days per week in the London office, typically Tuesday to Thursday. Standard hours are 9:30am to 5:30pm.
