Join our well-established Mechanical & Electrical contractor team, delivering high-quality building services solutions across commercial, industrial, and residential projects. We are seeking a Purchasing Assistant to support our procurement and project teams, ensuring the efficient sourcing and delivery of mechanical and electrical components for ongoing projects.
\nDay-to-day of the role:

- Assist in sourcing mechanical and electrical materials, plant, and equipment. \n
- Obtain and compare supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing. \n
- Raise and process purchase orders in line with company procedures. \n
- Liaise with suppliers to confirm pricing, availability, and delivery schedules. \n
- Track orders and resolve any supply issues or discrepancies. \n
- Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases. \n
- Support negotiation of pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve the best possible outcomes. \n
- Work closely with project managers and site teams to meet project deadlines. \n
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control to ensure project continuity. \n
Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role, preferably within the M&E, construction, or engineering sectors. \n
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical materials is desirable but not essential. \n
- Strong organisational and administrative skills. \n
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. \n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). \n
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively. \n
