Senior .Net Developer

Job Title: Senior .NET Developer / Technical Lead Location: Gloucestershire, UK (Hybrid: 2-3 days/week on-site) Contract Rate: Up to £440 / day (Inside IR35) Contract Duration: 6 Months with potential extension

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Lead .NET Developer to join 1 of our leading technology clients based in Gloucestershire.

In this role, you will serve as the technical authority for the engineering team-guiding system architecture, ensuring high code quality, and driving the deployment of scalable, secure enterprise .NET applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, QA, and DevOps while mentoring software engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership & Solution Design: Guide architectural decisions and design scalable, secure, and efficient .NET Core Web API applications.
\n
• Code Quality & Mentorship: Perform thorough code reviews, enforce best practices, and coach team members to support technical growth.
\n
• DevOps & Deployment: Oversee CI/CD pipelines, cloud application deployment, and continuous performance monitoring.
\n
• Stakeholder & Delivery Management: Partner with QA, DevOps, and Product Owners to manage deadlines and drive project milestones.
\n
• Optimization & Troubleshooting: Identify performance bottlenecks, optimize database queries, and ensure compliance with security standards.
\n

Key Requirements

\n
• Core .NET Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with .NET Core, ASP.NET Core Web API, C#, ADO.NET, and Entity Framework / EF Core.
\n
• Database & Front-End: Proficiency in MS SQL Server along with TypeScript, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap.
\n
• Modern AI Tools: Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot and Prompt Engineering.
\n
• DevOps Experience: Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment practices.
\n
• Location: Ability to work on-site in Gloucestershire 2-3 days per week.
