Duration: 2 Weeks

Rate: £280 Per Shift

Start Date: Immediate

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a retail fit-out/refurbishment project at Pets at Home, Horsham. This is a short-term contract lasting approximately 2 weeks, requiring a hands-on manager who can ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining health & safety standards, and acting as the main point of contact on site throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site activities and subcontractor performance.
\n
• Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with site procedures.
\n
• Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks.
\n
• Monitor project progress and maintain programme targets.
\n
• Ensure quality standards are achieved and defects are addressed promptly.
\n
• Complete and maintain all relevant site documentation.
\n
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
\n
• Manage deliveries, site logistics, and housekeeping.
\n
• Ensure compliance with current Health & Safety legislation and company policies.

Requirements

Essential

\n
• SMSTS Certificate
\n
• Valid CSCS Card
\n
• First Aid at Work Certificate
\n
• Previous experience as a Site Manager on retail fit-out, refurbishment, or commercial projects
\n
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
\n
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
\n

Desirable

\n
• Experience managing live retail environments
\n
• Fire Marshal qualification
\n
• Asbestos Awareness certification
\n
