Spencer Clarke Tutors are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Tutor to support learners in Stockton-on-Tees on a part-time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide personalised 1:1 educational support to learners who may be unable to access mainstream education or require additional support with their learning.

As a SEND Tutor, you will provide tailored tuition either in the learner's home or in a suitable public/community setting, depending on the learner's needs. You will:

• Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition.
\n
• Adapt lessons to meet individual SEND needs.
\n
• Support learners to re-engage with education and build confidence.
\n
• Help learners develop academically, socially and emotionally.
\n
• Build positive and trusting relationships with learners and their families.
\n
• Monitor progress and provide appropriate feedback.
\n
• Create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
\n

We are looking for a tutor who:

• Has experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
\n
• Has a teaching, tutoring or relevant educational background.
\n
• Can adapt their teaching style to individual learning needs.
\n
• Is patient, nurturing, reliable and resilient.
\n
• Has excellent communication skills.
\n
• Is passionate about helping learners reach their potential.
\n

Experience supporting learners with autism, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, anxiety, behavioural needs or other additional educational needs would be beneficial.

• £27-£32 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
\n
