\nAre you a Male Teaching Assistant with strong behaviour management skills, a positive attitude and a good sense of humour?
\nWe are recruiting for a fantastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a wonderful secondary school in Barking and Dagenham from September 2026.
\nYou'll be working with teenage male students with ASD and SLD, supporting them both in the classroom and out in the community. This is a really varied role, with students taking part in vocational courses, entrepreneurship and employability skills, as well as regular trips into the community.

- Temp to Permanent role after 1 term \n
- Monday-Friday, school hours \n
- September 2026 start \n
- Barking and Dagenham \n
- Supporting teenage male students with ASD & SLD \n
- Vocational and practical learning \n
- Community trips and activities \n
- Strong behaviour management required \n
This is a brilliant new-build school with excellent facilities and a genuinely lovely staff team. The environment is supportive, friendly and sociable - including Friday drinks for staff!
\nThe ideal Teaching Assistant will be confident managing behaviour, calm under pressure and able to build strong relationships with teenage boys. A good sense of humour is essential!
\nPrevious experience working with SEN, ASD or challenging behaviour is highly desirable.
