Permitting Coordinator - Bristol Location: Bristol Salary: Up to £40,000 Sector: Highways / Civil Engineering / Streetworks Job Type: Permanent Role Overview An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Permitting Coordinator to join a growing highways and civil engineering business based in Bristol. Working within a busy operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing permits and associated streetworks activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, legally and in line with programme requirements. Key Responsibilities ·Manage and track permit applications from submission through to completion. ·Raise, coordinate and close works notices accurately and within required timescales. ·Monitor permit durations and arrange extensions where required. ·Coordinate road space bookings with Project Managers, Supervisors and operational teams. ·Liaise with Local Authorities, utility companies and other key stakeholders. ·Coordinate bus stop and parking suspensions, TTOs and TMAN applications. ·Monitor reinstatement inspections and proactively resolve issues relating to FPNs and inspection data. ·Maintain accurate permit records, trackers and databases using Excel and Microsoft Teams. ·Prepare monthly KPI reports and provide accurate permitting data to management. ·Ensure all works remain compliant with relevant legislation and permit conditions. Skills & Experience ·2-3 years' experience in a Permitting Coordinator, Streetworks Coordinator or similar role. ·Highways, utilities or civil engineering experience preferred. ·Strong understanding of permit durations, extensions and Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs). ·Good working knowledge of NRSWA and the Traffic Management Act 2004. ·Experience using Street Manager, Confirm, Symology, Causeway, Mayrise or similar systems is desirable. ·Strong Excel skills, including the ability to analyse and report on data. ·Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. ·Confident communicating with Local Authorities, operational teams and external stakeholders. ·Ability to manage multiple permits and deadlines within a busy environment.
