\nWe are recruiting for an adaptable and skilled SEN English Teacher to join a specialist education setting in Frodsham, Cheshire.
\nThis is an opportunity for a qualified teacher who can combine strong subject knowledge with a person-centred approach, helping pupils develop confidence, communication and independence through meaningful English learning.
\nThe setting supports pupils with autism, complex learning needs, communication difficulties and sensory needs, with education shaped around individual strengths, needs, interests and future goals.
\nThe Role
\nAs an SEN English Teacher, you will deliver purposeful and engaging English provision while adapting your practice to ensure pupils can access learning and make meaningful progress.
\nYou will:

- Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons across a range of abilities. \n
- Develop pupils' skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening. \n
- Adapt curriculum content and teaching strategies to individual learning profiles. \n
- Use creative and evidence-informed approaches to support engagement. \n
- Build positive relationships and understand individual pupil needs. \n
- Work towards individual learning objectives and EHCP outcomes. \n
- Monitor progress and use assessment to inform future teaching. \n
- Encourage pupils to communicate ideas, opinions and understanding. \n
About You
\nYou will have:
\n- \n
- QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. \n
- Experience teaching English within a primary, secondary or specialist setting. \n
- Current safeguarding/child protection training. \n
- The ability to differentiate and adapt learning effectively. \n
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. \n
- A patient, consistent and solution-focused approach. \n
- High expectations for pupil achievement and personal development. \n
- A genuine commitment to inclusive and specialist education. \n
Experience supporting pupils with autism, complex needs, communication difficulties or sensory needs would be advantageous.
