Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-qualified Commercial Management Accountant to join a growing and commercially focused business.

This is an excellent role for an ambitious ACCA / CIMA / ACA studier looking to develop their commercial finance experience, working closely with senior stakeholders and playing a key role in providing meaningful financial insight to support business performance and decision-making.

\n The role

\n Reporting into the Finance Manager / Financial Controller, you will take ownership of a broad range of management accounting and commercial finance responsibilities, including:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments and journals
  • \n
  • Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • \n
  • Producing regular management reporting and providing commentary on performance
  • \n
  • Partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders across the business
  • \n
  • Analysing revenue, costs, margins and key business drivers
  • \n
  • Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting processes
  • \n
  • Identifying trends, risks and opportunities and translating these into actionable insight
  • \n
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting
  • \n
  • Supporting the continued development of reporting, processes and controls
  • \n
  • Involvement in ad hoc commercial analysis and finance projects
  • \n

  • \n
  • The ideal candidate

    \n You will be a part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) with strong management accounting experience and a genuine interest in developing within commercial finance. \n

    You will ideally have: \n

  • \n
  • Experience producing or assisting with management accounts
  • \n
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial awareness
  • \n
  • Good Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
  • \n
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • \n
  • The ability to communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders
  • \n
  • A proactive approach with the confidence to challenge and influence
  • \n
  • A desire to progress your accounting qualification and develop your career
  • \n
