Quantity Surveyor – Major Infrastructure Project Tebay, Cumbria | £60,000–£65,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + Excellent BenefitsAre you a Quantity Surveyor looking to work on a major, high-profile infrastructure project where you can take genuine commercial responsibility?We're recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join an established project team delivering a significant civil engineering scheme in the Tebay area of Cumbria.This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term project security, a strong benefits package and the chance to work alongside an experienced commercial and operational team on a complex infrastructure programme.The Role As Quantity Surveyor, you'll support the commercial management of the project from delivery through to completion, helping to maintain strong financial performance while managing contractual risk and maximising value.Your responsibilities will include:Commercial management of contracts and individual work packagesPreparing valuations, applications for payment and commercial reportsMonitoring project costs and producing accurate forecastsManaging measurements, valuations and project cash flowIdentifying commercial risks and opportunitiesSupporting the preparation and management of contractual claimsWorking closely with operational and project management teamsMaintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and other project stakeholdersHelping ensure project margins and commercial objectives are achievedWhat We're Looking For We're interested in speaking with Quantity Surveyors who have experience working within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure or transportation environments.Ideally, you will have:Previous experience working in a commercial Quantity Surveying positionA construction-related degree or equivalent qualificationExperience managing costs, valuations, forecasts and commercial reportingStrong Excel and general Microsoft Office skillsGood commercial awareness and attention to detailConfidence communicating with project teams, clients and subcontractorsA full UK driving licenceThe ability to work predominantly from the project site in TebayExperience on major highways, infrastructure or civil engineering projects would be particularly advantageous.Package £60,000–£65,000 basic salary£5,000 annual car allowanceMatched pension contributions of up to 7.5%Life assuranceEnhanced family leaveShare plan schemesHoliday purchase optionsHealth and wellbeing supportAdditional health and insurance benefitsFlexible working arrangements can be discussedPermanent, full-time positionThe role is primarilysite-based in Tebay, Cumbria, with some remote working available.Please note: sponsorship cannot be provided for this position.If you're a Quantity Surveyor looking for a long-term opportunity on a major UK infrastructure project, apply today or get in touch for a confidential conversation.TPBN1_UKTJ
