Job Title: Electronics Engineer
\nLocation: Rochester, Kent - 4 days on site
\nRole Type: Permanent
\nSalary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum depending on experience
\n\nOur client, an established electronics manufacturing firm in Rochester, require an experienced Electronics Engineer to join their multi-disciplined team.
\n\nCandidates would need to have lived & worked in the UK for 5+ years and be eligible for BPSS security clearance.
\n\nPositions are available at Senior and Principal level, so we welcome applications from candidates with varying backgrounds and experience.
\n\nWhat the role of the Electronics Engineer entails:
\nSome of the main duties of the Electronics Engineer will include:
\n- \n
- Executing complex hardware design tasks in accordance with the hardware development plan, whilst meeting agreed timescales and allocated budgets \n
- Conducting hardware requirements capture, preliminary design, detailed design including a range of analysis tasks \n
- Adopting an innovative approach to design and identifying improvements to working practices \n
- Working with other disciplines within an integrated team to optimise solutions and minimise impacts from dependencies \n
- Providing technical guidance and support to the development and delivery of all aspects of digital &/or analogue electronics solutions \n
- Coaching & developing the skills of junior team members \n
- Delivering design artefacts in accordance with company and industry standards \n
What experience you need to be the successful Electronics Engineer:
\nEssential:
\n- \n
- Degree/HND in electronics engineering or an equivalent qualification \n
- Proven knowledge and experience of digital &/or analogue electronics technologies \n
- Experience of working through the engineering development lifecycle, from concept to product certification \n
- Ability to demonstrate a good appreciation of cost and schedule constraints on designs, to meet programme needs \n
- Capable of providing robust engineering judgement in all phases of the engineering development lifecycle. \n
- Robust understanding of product design and work package control \n
Desirable:
\n- \n
- Mentor Graphics Expedition Enterprise \n
- Analogue simulations tools, such as Simetrix or Spice \n
- System development tools, such as Enterprise Architect, Matlab, Simulink \n
