Service Designer£420 per day | Inside IR35 | 12-Month ContractWe are seeking an experienced Service Designer to join a major public sector digital transformation programme focused on the design and delivery of a high-profile mobile application .Working within a multidisciplinary agile team, you will help design end-to-end services that meet user needs while aligning with GOV.UK Service Standards and Government Digital Service (GDS) best practice.Role DetailsRole: Service DesignerRate: £420 per dayContract Length: 12 monthsIR35 Status: Inside IR35Sector: Public SectorProject: Mobile Application DeliveryWorking Pattern: Remote/HybridKey ResponsibilitiesLead service design activities across the full service lifecycleCreate and maintain service blueprints, user journeys and service mapsFacilitate workshops with business stakeholders and delivery teamsCollaborate closely with Product Managers, User Researchers, Content Designers, Business Analysts and DevelopersUse user research and data insights to inform service improvementsIdentify pain points, opportunities and service enhancementsEnsure services are accessible, inclusive and user-centredSupport delivery in line with GDS standards and assessmentsEssential Skills & ExperienceDemonstrable experience working as a Service DesignerStrong GDS experience delivering digital services within UK Government or wider public sector organisationsExperience working through GDS service phases (Discovery, Alpha, Beta and Live)Understanding of GOV.UK Service Standard and user-centred design principlesExperience designing services for mobile applicationsStrong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skillsExperience working within agile, multidisciplinary teamsAbility to produce high-quality service design artefacts including journey maps, service blueprints and ecosystem mapsDesirableExperience of government service assessmentsExperience working within complex transformation programmesFamiliarity with tools such as Miro, Figma, Jira and ConfluenceSecurity RequirementsCandidates must:Be British NationalsHave a minimum of 5 years continuous UK residencyBe eligible to obtain and maintain BPSS ClearanceApply NowIf you are a Service Designer with strong GDS , public sector , and mobile app experience, we'd like to hear from you.
