The school has a strong focus on providing a positive, inclusive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to thrive both academically and personally.Your new role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide classroom support to students with a range of special educational needs. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils engage in learning, build confidence, and achieve their individual targets.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • \n
  • Assisting with classroom activities and learning interventions
  • \n
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
  • \n
  • Supporting students with communication, social, and emotional development
  • \n
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and external professionals
  • \n
\n

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults
  • \n
  • SEN, support work, care, childcare, youth work, or education experience is essential
  • \n
  • A patient, caring, and resilient approach
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • \n
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
  • \n
