Health & Safety & Compliance ManagerSalary: £44,000 - £48,000 per annumContract: Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week)Location: Central London (based on-site)We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Health & Safety & Compliance Manager to help shape and lead our approach to health and safety, complianceThis is a newly refocused role that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact across a unique organisation that combines higher education, creativity and live performance activity. Working closely with senior leaders, operational teams and governors, you will play a key role in embedding best practice, improving oversight and strengthening organisational assurance.What you will be doingYou'll work across the organisation to provide specialist expertise, leadership and coordination in health and safety, compliance and governance activities.Key responsibilities include:\n

- Developing and embedding consistent health and safety processes across departments. \n
- Improving and standardising risk assessments and risk management practices. \n
- Managing health and safety audits, inspections and compliance action plans. \n
- Maintaining and improving compliance monitoring and tracking systems. \n
- Monitoring estates-related statutory compliance requirements and supporting organisational assurance activities. \n
- Producing reports, dashboards and management information for senior leaders and governors. \n
- Supporting governance processes, audits and organisational risk management. \n
- Working collaboratively with teams to develop practical, proportionate and effective ways of working. \n
- Promoting a positive culture of continuous improvement, accountability and shared responsibility. \n
- \n
- Significant experience in health and safety management \n
- Experience working in complex multi-stakeholder environments such as arts, education, charity, public sector, healthcare, housing, leisure or commercial organisations would be beneficial \n
- NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) essential \n
- Knowledge of estates compliance around fire safety, water hygiene, statutory inspections, PUWER and LOLER \n
- IOSH qualification desirable if supported by substantial practical experience \n
- Experience managing compliance, governance or risk-related processes. \n
- Experience supporting or leading audits and compliance reviews. \n
- Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and risk register management. \n

- Shape health and safety and compliance practice across the entire organisation. \n
- Influence decision-making at a senior level. \n
- Develop new systems, frameworks and reporting approaches. \n
- Work in a collaborative and creative environment. \n
- Build strong relationships across a diverse range of professional and operational teams. \n
- Make a visible and lasting impact on organisational performance and culture. \n
