Job Description
I am working with an established engineering and manufacturing business to recruit an Environmental, Health & Safety Manager.
\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced HSE Manager or a senior HSE Advisor looking to take the next step in their career. The business has already invested significantly in its Health, Safety and Environmental systems and is now looking for someone who can build on that progress, influence the wider business and help drive the next stage of its HSE journey.
\nThe role sits within the site leadership team and offers genuine visibility within the organisation. You'll work closely with operational leaders, provide expert guidance across health, safety and environmental matters and play a key role in shaping culture, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
\nThe RoleKey responsibilities will include:

- Leading the site's Health, Safety and Environmental management systems. \n
- Driving a positive and proactive safety culture across manufacturing and operational teams. \n
- Managing environmental compliance and supporting sustainability initiatives. \n
- Leading accident, incident and environmental investigations. \n
- Supporting risk assessment programmes and developing operational ownership of risk management. \n
- Managing audits, inspections and certification activities. \n
- Monitoring performance and presenting meaningful HSE data to senior leadership. \n
- Providing practical coaching, training and guidance across the business. \n
- Building strong working relationships with regulators, stakeholders and operational teams. \n
About YouI'm interested in speaking to people who have:

- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Level 6 qualification or equivelent experience. \n
- HSE experience within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment. \n
- Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and management systems. \n
- Experience carrying out audits, investigations and continuous improvement activities. \n
- The ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of a business. \n
- A hands-on approach and the desire to make a visible impact on site. \n
Environmental permitting experience would be advantageous. The business is open to considering ambitious HSE Advisors who are ready to step into their first management position and can demonstrate the right attitude, leadership qualities and technical foundations.
