Temporary Caretaker – Housing Association\n

Location: London E14

Contract: Temporary – Immediate start until 18 September

\n

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

\n

Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour PAYE (including holiday pay)

About the Role\n

We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Caretaker to work for a housing association based in Tower Hamlets, East London.

\n

The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the residential building and its communal areas are clean, safe, secure and well maintained. You will be the day-to-day presence on site, helping to provide a welcoming environment for residents and ensuring any issues are identified and reported promptly.

Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Carry out regular inspections of communal areas and the surrounding estate.
  • \n
  • Ensure communal areas, entrances, corridors and stairwells are clean, tidy and presentable.
  • \n
  • Report repairs, maintenance issues, health and safety concerns and any defects.
  • \n
  • Assist with maintaining the security and general upkeep of the building.
  • \n
  • Monitor communal areas and report any issues or incidents appropriately.
  • \n
  • Liaise with residents in a professional and helpful manner.
  • \n
  • Ensure waste and refuse areas are kept clean and well managed.
  • \n
  • Carry out basic caretaking duties and minor tasks where appropriate.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate records and report any concerns to the relevant team.
  • \n
  • Follow all relevant health and safety procedures.
  • \n
