\nLocation: Kent / Essex border
\nSalary: £40K-£45K - 4 day week Monday – Thursday 37 hours, plus pension, life insurance, many other benefits
\nOur client is looking for a Skilled Aerospace Quality Engineer this role is located on the Kent / Essex border.
\nThe successful candidate must have experience in aerospace quality engineering and inspection, have solid measurement skills, calibration knowledge, you would be responsible for the QMS on site and would be responsible for customer contact, 8Ds, specs, calibration/gauges and the QMS systems. You would need to be confident in QMS and AS9100 standards. standards. Experience of FAIRs useful.
\nQuality Engineer Duties:
\nTo maintain quality control within the manufacturing process, in line with business standards and customer requirements.
\nAssist in FAIR / LAIR compilation and approving.
\nResponsible for the approval status of the associated test equipment and activities.
\nResponsible for product Release.
\nAssisting in technical reviews as required and liaising with the team.
\nTo contribute to the quality system maintenance in accordance with the requirement of ISO 9001:2008 / AS 9100 and is subject to regular audits and reviews.
\nParticipate in meetings with the Manufacturing Team.
\nPromoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout manufacturing showcasing continuous Improvement and 5S Mind set.
\nEnsure the correct use of calibrated measurement systems for the purposes of inspection of product and carry out gauge R&Rs as directed by QMS.
\nMonitor and report on subcontract performance as directed
\nMonitor scrap and rework in line with quality plans and report.
\nQuality Engineer Requirements:
\nExperienced in the aerospace sector.
\nStrong ability to read and understand technical drawings and specification
\nFamiliar with auditing procedures and recent First Article Experience
\nStrong working knowledge and understanding of Quality and or Aerospace Standards (ISO 9000, AS9100, EASA Part 21, EASA Part 145)
\nProblem Solving Skills within an engineering environment - preferably 8D
\nContinuous Improvement and 5S Mind set
\nEffective communicator at all levels both verbal and written
\nStrong initiative and time management skills, able to balance priorities confidently with minimum supervision
\nAttention to detail, including numeracy
\nWork with colleagues to ensure the implementation of the company’s policies and goals.
