Interim Financial Reporting Manager — 8 Weeks — Leicester

Day rate: £350-400 (DOE) Umb rate Inside IR35 Fully office-based Start Date: 1st September

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established Leicester organisation for an experienced Interim Financial Reporting Manager to provide cover during a period of leave.

This is a fast-paced, high-impact assignment — 8 weeks in total, with 2 weeks shadowing before running the finance reporting function solo. You'll need to be someone who can walk in, get up to speed quickly, and be adding value from week one.

What you'll be doing:

• Overseeing month-end close and ensuring management accounts are delivered on time
\n
• Acting as the key point of contact for stakeholders across the business, managing queries and relationships that would otherwise fall to the Financial Controller
\n
• Supporting external audit fieldwork — providing samples, reconciliations, and data as requested by the auditors during a live audit window
\n
• Providing guidance to a small team of management accountants at varying stages of experience
\n
• Maintaining core financial controls and reporting integrity throughout
\n

What we're looking for:

\n
• ACA or ACCA qualified (CIMA considered only with significant, demonstrable audit experience)
\n
• A proven track record operating at Financial Reporting Manager level or above, ideally within a large organisation with a complex, multi-stream commercial and cost base
\n
• Strong, confident Excel and data-handling skills — this role involves significant data manipulation to support audit and reporting requirements
\n
• Experience of SAP is a strong advantage — you'll need to be self-sufficient on systems quickly
\n
• A calm, capable operator who can hit the ground running, manage competing priorities, and hold things steady without heavy oversight
\n
