\nAre you an experienced Commercial Insurance Account Handler looking for greater variety, genuine career progression and the opportunity to develop within a supportive broking team?
\nWe are recruiting for an established commercial insurance business in Leatherhead. You will work alongside experienced brokers, servicing new and existing commercial clients, including major scheme-based clients within the removals and storage sector.

The role
\nYou will manage the day-to-day servicing of a varied portfolio of commercial insurance clients, ensuring they receive a responsive, accurate and professional service.
\nYour responsibilities will include:
\n- \n
- Managing commercial insurance renewals and mid-term adjustments \n
- Reviewing risk and claims information and gathering further details from clients \n
- Obtaining competitive quotations from insurers \n
- Presenting renewal terms promptly and following up for client instructions \n
- Supporting strong retention and profitable account growth \n
- Processing adjustments through insurer extranets and ensuring cover is placed within the required timescales \n
- Building effective, long-term relationships with clients \n
- Understanding client requirements and recommending appropriate insurance solutions \n
- Working closely with underwriters to adapt policies and secure suitable cover \n
- Responding promptly to client queries and maintaining accurate records \n
- Preparing invoices and resolving billing queries \n
- Keeping client files, correspondence and documentation up to date \n
- Working collaboratively with brokers and the wider team \n
About you
\nThis opportunity is suited to someone who has:
\n- \n
- At least one to two years’ commercial insurance experience \n
- Experience in commercial vehicle, motor fleet, public liability or employers’ liability insurance \n
- A sound understanding of general insurance principles \n
- Commercial insurance experience rather than solely personal lines experience \n
- A confident and professional telephone manner \n
- The ability to communicate effectively with clients, insurers and colleagues \n
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and problem-solving skills \n
- A flexible, team-focused approach \n
- Five GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, or equivalent, including English and maths \n
Progress towards CII qualifications would be advantageous, although full support for further CII study is available.
