Manchester, ENG, GB Full Time

Job Description

.NET Developer / Senior .NET Developer

\n

Manchester City Centre | Hybrid, 2 days per week

\n

Mid-Level: circa £45,000| Senior: circa £55,000

\n

Permanent

\n

We’re recruiting for two Full-Stack .NET Developers, one Mid-Level and one Senior, to join an established digital business in Manchester.

\n

You’ll work within a client-focused development team delivering and supporting digital solutions across a large and varied customer base. Rather than spending all your time maintaining a single product, you’ll work across different projects and technical challenges in small development teams.

\n

The Role

\n

Depending on your level of experience, your responsibilities will include:

\n
    \n
  • Full-stack development using C# and modern .NET
  • \n
  • Building and integrating Web APIs
  • \n
  • Working with SQL Server
  • \n
  • Front-end development using JavaScript and TypeScript
  • \n
  • Developing and supporting CMS-driven websites and applications
  • \n
  • Working across multiple client projects
  • \n
  • Translating requirements and user stories into working software
  • \n
  • Maintaining code quality through code reviews, testing and CI/CD
  • \n
  • Contributing to technical decisions and development best practice
  • \n
\n

What We’re Looking For

\n

You’ll need a strong commercial background in C#/.NET development and experience working across both back-end and front-end development.

\n

CMS experience is important for these positions, with experience of Umbraco particularly attractive. Experience with Kentico or another .NET-based CMS would also be relevant.

\n

Previous experience working for a digital agency or consultancy would be a significant advantage because of the varied, client-led nature of the work.

\n

We’re particularly interested in developers with experience across:

\n
    \n
  • C# / .NET / .NET Core
  • \n
  • Web APIs
  • \n
  • SQL Server
  • \n
  • JavaScript / TypeScript
  • \n
  • HTML / CSS
  • \n
  • Umbraco, Kentico or other CMS platforms
  • \n
  • Git / source control
  • \n
  • Unit and automated testing
  • \n
  • CI/CD
  • \n
\n

React experience is not required.

\n

For the Mid-Level position, we're generally looking for 2+ years of relevant commercial development experience.

\n

For the Senior position, you'll need a stronger depth of commercial .NET experience and the ability to operate effectively at senior level across client projects.

\n

A strong academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline will also be valued.

\n

Working Environment

\n

This is a permanent position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with core hours of 10am to 4pm.

\n

The business operates a flexible hybrid model requiring two days per week in its Manchester city centre office. These are not fixed office days.

\n

There is a strong emphasis on continued technical development. Developers receive a dedicated CPD programme with at least five allocated training days per year, alongside a training budget.

\n

Salary

\n

Mid-Level .NET Developer: circa £45,000

\n

Senior .NET Developer: circa £55,000

\n

Benefits

\n
    \n
  • 26 days' holiday plus public holidays
  • \n
  • Option to purchase up to 5 additional days' holiday
  • \n
  • Private healthcare
  • \n
  • 5% employer pension contribution after 3 months
  • \n
  • Dedicated training and CPD budget
  • \n
\n
