Midlands-based | Nationwide travelThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fire & Security Installation & Commissioning Engineer to join a small, well-established Fire & Security business based in Worcester. With many years of industry experience, the company specialises in the design, installation and maintenance of fire and security systems, supporting clients across the West Midlands and throughout the UK.Due to continued growth, the company is looking for a reliable and motivated engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service. This is a varied role involving the installation, testing, commissioning and handover of fire and security systems across commercial, industrial, healthcare and public-sector environments.What we need from you:A minimum of three years experience in fire and security installation and commissioningExperience installing and commissioning fire alarms, CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systemsStrong fault-finding, troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsA good understanding of the relevant British Standards and industry requirementsExcellent communication and customer service skillsA quality-focused approach and pride in your workmanshipAbility to work independently and as part of a wider project teamA professional manner when dealing with clients and site teamsWillingness to travel nationwideHold a current UK Driving LicenceWhat this role involves:As part of this position, you will be responsible for installing, testing and commissioning a range of fire and security systems, ensuring each project is completed to the required standards and successfully handed over to the client. Duties will include:Installing and commissioning fire alarm systems, CCTV systems, access control systems and intruder alarm systemsTesting, fault-finding and troubleshooting systemsCompleting commissioning documentation and handover records accuratelyEnsuring all work complies with the relevant British Standards and client requirementsWorking closely with Project Managers, clients and site teamsMaintaining high standards of workmanship, customer service and professionalismFollowing all health and safety requirements while working on siteSalary: Up to £50,000 OTE (£18 per hour basic + enhanced rates) depending on your level of experience.Hours: Full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday.
