Job Description

We are seeking a qualified, multi-skilled tradesperson to join our Facilities Management team. In this role, you will maintain, repair, and secure our corporate operational buildings, ensuring a safe, functional, and fully compliant environment. Key Responsibilities: * Repairs & Maintenance: Carry out general building repairs, fault finding, and preventative maintenance across your core trade and other construction disciplines. * Compliance Testing: Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly health and safety checks (including water temperatures, flushing, fire exits, and fire alarm support). * Site & Safety Management: Complete on-site risk assessments, adhere to HSE/CDM regulations, manage safe contractor access, and handle office moves. * Asset & Administration: Safely operate an allocated company vehicle, tools, and materials. Submit accurate paperwork and use digital devices (tablets/smartphones) for job logging and reporting. Qualifications & Training: * Trade Qualification: NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in a core trade (e.g., carpentry, plastering, plumbing, electrical), or a modern apprenticeship. Time-served specialists with equivalent evident trade skills will also be considered. * Education: GCSEs (A–C / 4–9) in English and Maths, or equivalent experience. * Health & Safety: Valid CSCS card or Health & Safety Passport scheme certification. * Certifications: Current certificates or a willingness to train in: Asbestos Awareness, Fire Marshal, First Aid, Manual Handling, and PASMA/Legionella. Requirements & Experience: * Technical Skill: Proven experience diagnosing and rectifying repairs across multiple trades within a building maintenance environment. * Safety & Autonomy: Working knowledge of health and safety legislation, COSHH, working at heights, and lone working. Ability to self-manage and make sound risk judgments with limited supervision. * Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence to operate company vehicles, with good geographical knowledge of the local area
