Renderer/Brick Pointer

Just Does It is a building contractor working across West London and surrounding areas. We specialise in exterior refurbishment, flat roofing, leadwork, interior refurbishment and general maintenance including painting and decorating, on both commercial and domestic property. We work as a main contractor on a wide range of buildings, including many listed ones, and we work closely with surveyors and property managing agents to deliver work to a high, sustainable and professional standard.

We are looking for a Restorer / Stone Mason / Renderer to join JDI's specialist teams working on period buildings and listed properties across West London and surrounding areas. The role covers traditional rendering, brick pointing and stone repair on facades and common parts — the skilled, visible work that defines the exterior of a building and what JDI is known for. Care, patience and a sympathetic eye for the existing material matter as much as the technique.

• Rendering — traditional and modern systems, repair patches and full elevations.
\n
• Brick pointing — raking out, mixing matching mortar, repointing in lime or cement to suit the building.
\n
• Stone repair — dressing, splicing, plastic repairs, indenting and stone replacement where required.
\n
• Identifying defects and matching materials to the existing fabric — lime, sand, aggregate, brick type.
\n
• Working safely from scaffold on facade and exterior works.
\n
• Keeping the work area clean and clearing up properly at the end of each day.

• Demonstrable experience across rendering, pointing and stone repair — ideally on period buildings.
\n
• CSCS card — blue (Skilled Worker) as a minimum.
\n
• Sound understanding of lime mortars and matching to existing fabric.
\n
• Confident and safe working from scaffold.
\n
• Your own professional tools for the trade.
\n
• Full PPE, good spoken English, and clear communication on site.
\n
