- Support the Head of Projects in planning, coordinating, and delivering multiple civil engineering projects \n
- Provide programme-level oversight of scope, cost, schedule, and risk. \n
- Ensure integration between design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities. \n
- Manage deliverables from inception and client ask, through pre construction, Delivery and handover. \n
- Monitor performance against KPIs and take corrective action where required. \n
- Civil Engineering Oversight \n
- Lead delivery of complex civils packages (groundworks, reinforced concrete structures, infrastructure, drainage, earthworks, structural alterations, etc.). \n
- Ensure works comply with technical specifications, site licence conditions, and regulatory standards. \n
- Oversee subcontractor performance and commercial management in conjunction with the commercial team. \n
- Governance, Risk & Compliance \n
- Ensure projects comply with safety, environmental, and quality requirements. \n
- Manage programme-level risk registers and mitigation strategies. \n
- Prepare and present progress reports, financial forecasts, and risk updates to senior stakeholders. \n
- Support assurance reviews, audits, and stage gate approvals. \n
- Stakeholder & Client Interface \n
- Act as a key interface between project teams, client representatives, regulators, and supply chain partners. \n
- Support the Project Director in senior stakeholder engagement and strategic planning. \n
- Contribute to long-term programme strategy and resource planning. \n
- Commercial & Financial Control \n
- Monitor programme budgets, forecasts, and cost performance. \n
- Support change management processes and ensure variations are properly assessed and authorised. \n
- Contribute to commercial negotiations where required. \n
- Leadership & Team Development \n
- Promote BRAVE culture aligned with site standards. \n
- Provide leadership and mentoring to Project Managers and Engineers. \n
- Ensure HR procedures and best practice are applied. \n
- Support with Employee Engagement. \n
- Encourage continuous improvement and best practice across the programme. \n
Skills and Experience:
\n- \n
- Demonstrable experience operating as a Construction Manager on major infrastructure or construction projects \n
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary site operations \n
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and site logistics \n
- Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain partners \n
- Solid knowledge of HSEQ regulations and implementation on site \n
- Proven track record of delivering projects to programme, budget, and quality targets \n
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills \n
- Experience working on renewable energy or large-scale civil engineering projects (desirable) \n
- Experience within hydro-electric, power, or heavy infrastructure environments (desirable) \n
- Experience working within joint venture or alliance structures (desirable) \n
- Familiarity with remote or logistically challenging site environments \n
- Ability to contribute to early-stage planning and constructability reviews \n
- Experience driving productivity and efficiency improvements on site \n
