The Role

As a History Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging and challenging History lessons across KS3 and KS4
\n
• Inspire students to explore significant historical events, cultures and societies
\n
• Develop students' critical thinking, source analysis and research skills
\n
• Encourage debate and discussion around key historical themes and events
\n
• Plan and deliver lessons that cater to a range of abilities and learning needs
\n
• Assess, monitor and track student progress effectively
\n
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
\n
• Contribute to the wider success of the Humanities department and school community
\n

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for teachers who:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
\n
• Have experience teaching History within UK secondary schools
\n
• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management skills
\n
• Are committed to raising attainment and improving student outcomes
\n
• Have high expectations for achievement, behaviour and engagement
\n
• Can build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents
\n
• Have a genuine passion for History and education
\n
