Senior Finance Analyst

We’re recruiting a Senior Finance Analyst for a large international organisation based in Peterborough.

This role would particularly suit someone who loves working with large data sets in Excel, is confident manipulating and analysing financial data, and enjoys getting into the detail.

You’ll need to be comfortable taking ownership of large, complex balance sheet reconciliations and have strong experience preparing VAT returns, tax submissions or similar regulatory returns.

Key areas of the role include:

• Manipulating and analysing large data sets in Excel
\n
• Preparing detailed balance sheet reconciliations
\n
• Preparing tax and regulatory submissions
\n
• Supporting month-end, including accruals, revenue adjustments and journals
\n
• Analysing performance and explaining variances against forecast and prior year
\n
• Providing ad hoc financial analysis and reporting
\n

You’ll ideally be CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified, although strong relevant experience will also be considered. You'll be analytical, highly numerate and detail-focused, with the confidence to work independently and engage with senior stakeholders.

Experience of VAT/tax returns, regulatory submissions, JD Edwards or working within a multinational business would be particularly useful.

The role is a 6–8 month fixed-term contract, working part-time 22-28 hours per week, with at least two days per week worked from their Peterborough office.
