Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical)
Job Description
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in Leeds, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of machinery and equipment in an industrial and manufacturing setting.
\nThis is a hands-on role which involves maintaining, repairing, and improving production systems to keep operations efficient and reliable.

\nDescription
\nDuties will include;
\n- \n
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment. \n
- Diagnosing and repairing faults to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency. \n
- Performing routine inspections to ensure all machinery and systems are in good working order. \n
- Working collaboratively with other engineers and departments to resolve technical issues. \n
- Supporting continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment performance. \n
- Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations. \n
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance work and equipment performance. \n
- Providing on-call support as required to address urgent issues. \n
Profile
\nThe successful candidate will;
\n- \n
- Be educated to a minimum NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering time served apprenticeship. \n
- Will have knowledge in electrical or mechanical maintenance, within a manufacturing industry. \n
- Have strong fault-finding and repair skills. \n
- Have working knowledge of PLC fault-finding and repair, any programming skills would be of great interest. \n
- Be familiar with working to planned and preventative maintenance schedules in a continuous improvement environment. \n
- Will have excellent interpersonal skills and be comfortable when dealing with colleagues at all levels across a range of functions within the business. \n
- Awareness of Health and Safety and other relevant legislation. \n
- Be able to read technical drawings - desirable \n
- 17th or 18th edition wiring regulations - desirable \n
- Have experience of modern manufacturing techniques such as 5S, LEAN and TPM would be ideal. \n

\nSalary is up to £58,000 depending on your skills and experience (plus call out charges)
\n3 shift patterns on a weekly basis - 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm - 10pm-6am Monday to Friday
