The Role

\n

As an Site Manager / Assistant Project Manager, you will support the successful delivery of construction projects from pre-construction through to completion. Working closely with Project Managers, clients, subcontractors and site teams, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

\n

This position offers exposure to the full project lifecycle and is ideal for someone looking to progress their career within a growing and forward-thinking organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of construction projects from pre-construction through to handover.
  • \n
  • Assist in monitoring project programmes, performance and potential risks.
  • \n
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • \n
  • Attend project meetings and prepare progress reports.
  • \n
  • Review technical drawings, specifications and project documentation.
  • \n
  • Assist with procurement activities, valuations and cost reporting.
  • \n
  • Support quality inspections and defect management processes.
  • \n
  • Promote and maintain Health & Safety compliance across all project activities.
  • \n
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams.
  • \n

About You

Essential Requirements

\n
    \n
  • Construction-related qualification or relevant industry experience.
  • \n
  • Previous experience within a construction, site management, project coordination or similar role.
  • \n
  • Strong construction knowledge and commercial awareness.
  • \n
  • Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • \n
  • Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • \n
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • \n
\n

Desirable Requirements

    \n
  • SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.
  • \n
  • First Aid at Work certification.
  • \n
  • Temporary Works Coordinator qualification.
  • \n
  • Experience working on commercial, retail or design-and-build projects.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of JCT contracts.
  • \n
