We’re seeking a Senior/Supervising Social Worker to join our supportive team, working remotely to empower Foster Parents in Kent.

Your Role\n

As a Senior/Supervising Social Worker, you will:

  • Support Foster Parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.
  • \n
  • Monitor the suitability and competence of Foster Parents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  • \n
  • Guide Foster Parents in understanding their roles, responsibilities, and the standards expected of them.
  • \n
  • Provide regular supervision to allocated Foster Parents in line with FCA’s Operational Standards.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with the child’s network to identify needs within the Foster Parent household.
  • \n
  • Ensure compliance with all key documentation for children and Foster Parents.
  • \n
  • Attend meetings and provide reports for Commissioning Teams regarding individual care packages.
  • \n
  • Encourage participation of children and young people in agency development and community resources.
  • \n
  • Participate in an out-of-hours support service and day duty system on a rota basis.
  • \n
  • Conduct occasional initial home visits and Form F Assessments.
  • \n
What We’re Looking For\n

To thrive in this role, you must have:

    \n
  • A Social Work qualification.
  • \n
  • Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
  • \n
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality reports.
  • \n
  • A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
  • \n
  • The willingness and ability to travel extensively, including occasional overnight stays.
  • \n
  • Confidence in transporting children and young people in challenging situations.
  • \n
  • A full driving licence.
  • \n
Working Conditions & Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary of up to £41,334.38 per annum, depending on experience, along with a range of fantastic benefits:
