Role: Health and Safety ManagerSalary: to be discussed on applicationLocation Leamington SpaContract: PermanentRole SummaryAn excellent opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to take a hands-on, visible role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, where safety is the number one priority .Working closely with teams across production, assembly and logistics, you will spend significant time on the shop floor, identifying risks, improving working practices and ensuring high safety standards are maintained. You will drive a proactive safety culture, ensure legislative and ISO 45001 compliance, investigate incidents and near misses, and implement practical improvements to create a safe, compliant and high-performing workplace.Role & Responsibilities of the Health and Safety ManagerDevelop and deliver the site Health & Safety strategy and action plan aligned to business objectives and group standardsProvide visible leadership across the shopfloor, promoting high standards and safety-first behavioursCoach, mentor and support employees, team leaders and managers to improve ownership and accountability for safetyCreate and implement comprehensive safety training programmes based on site risk assessmentsPromote behavioural safety principles, safety coaching and proactive reporting of near missesLead the site safety committee and ensure actions are effectively managed through to completionEnsure compliance with all applicable UK Health & Safety legislation and regulationsDevelop, maintain and improve risk assessments and safe systems of work across manufacturing operationsManage safety requirements relating to press machines, assembly areas, warehouse operations, maintenance activities and home delivery teamsConduct audits, inspections and investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and sustainedSupport continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, employee engagement and operational routinesProduce practical safety communications including toolbox talks, visual management materials and safety alertsLead incident and near-miss investigations using structured root cause analysis methodologiesMaintain and continuously improve the ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management SystemManage internal audits, corrective actions, document control and management review processesSupport external certification and surveillance audits, ensuring ongoing compliance and audit readinessRequirements of the Health and Safety ManagerProven Health & Safety management experience within a manufacturing environmentStrong experience working with press machines, assembly operations and warehouse/logistics functionsMinimum NEBOSH qualification or equivalentDemonstrable experience maintaining and improving ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management SystemsStrong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and its practical application within manufacturingExperience using leading and lagging indicators to drive performance improvementsStrong accident and incident investigation capability with proven corrective action implementationExcellent coaching, mentoring and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to influence teams within a fast-paced manufacturing environmentStrong analytical, problem-solving and risk assessment skillsApply NowIf you are an experienced Health and Safety Manager looking for your next challenge within a manufacturing environment, apply now for immediate consideration.TPBN1_UKTJ
