\n Job description\n\nThe purpose of the role is to design, manage, coordinate, and deliver mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation systems throughout a project's lifecycle, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, budget, and programme requirements.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nDesign Coordination: Collaborate with design teams to review and finalise technical specifications.
\nProject Delivery: Oversee the installation, testing and commissioning of complex MEICA assets across tunnel/siphon interfaces, shaft structures and surface valve houses.
\nSubcontractor Management: Lead procurement and management of specialist MEICA subcontractors, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time and within budget.
\nSystem Integration: Manage the integration of heavy mechanical pumping systems, MCC's, PLC/SCADA networks and telemetry interfaces.
\nHealth and Safety Leadership: Ensure complete compliance with all CDM regulations, company health and safety standards and environmental requirements across all active sites.
\nTechnical Knowledge
\nPumps, motors, valves, pipework, MCCs (Motor Control Centres), VSDs (Variable Speed Drives).
\nPLC and SCADA systems.
\nInstrumentation and control systems.
\nUK electrical and safety regulations.
\n Required profile\n\n- \n
- Degree, HNC, or HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Control, Automation, or related Engineering discipline. \n
- Previous water industry experience (desirable). \n
- Proven track record as a MEICA Manager on major UK infrastructure projects. \n
- Excellent knowledge of high voltage/low voltage distribution, large scale pumping systems and automation architecture. \n
- Familiarity with manging packages under NEC3 or NEC4 contract conditions (desirable). \n
