As part of our continued commitment to excellence, were expanding our Clinical Training team and are looking for experienced DWP-Approved Functional Assessors who want to take the next step in their career.
\nAs a Functional Assessor Clinical Trainer, youll play a vital role in shaping the next generation of clinical professionals delivering Work Capability Assessments (WCA). Youll facilitate high-quality training through blended deliveryvirtual, online, and in-personwhile remaining connected to frontline practice through periodic assessments.

\nWhat you'll do:
\n- \n
- Deliver engaging training to new clinicians, grounded in Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM). \n
- Facilitate learning across multiple platformsincluding virtual classrooms and face-to-face delivery. \n
- Undertake Functional Assessments as required to ensure alignment between training and real-world practice. \n
- Support new Health Professionals to meet training outcomes, identifying early support requirements. \n
- Use reflective practice models to champion continuous improvement across training content and methodology. \n
- Collaborate with the Learning & Development team to design, review, and enhance training materials. \n
- Maintain high-quality, timely documentation to support feedback and development. \n
- Keep up to date with welfare and policy developments. \n
- Provide expert clinical insight for Training Needs Analysis and wider service improvements. \n
- Offer specialist input on clinical changes, including testing and impact assessments. \n
- Support wider clinical operations to ensure safe, effective, and compliant service delivery. \n
What we're looking for:
\n- \n
- Current DWP Approval as a WCA Functional Assessor. \n
- Current HCPC or NMC registration with no restrictions. \n
- Strong record of Continual Professional Development (CPD) and revalidation. \n
- Excellent written communication and documentation skills. \n
- Ability to manage your time, meet deadlines, and work effectively within a wider team. \n
- Able to interpret high-level requirements and translate them into clear, practical clinical guidance. \n
- Confident communicator skilled at engaging multi-disciplinary professionals and stakeholders. \n
- Ability to apply your clinical expertise to support and develop others. \n
- Strong IT skills and ability to work across digital platforms. \n
- Reliable, flexible, and detail-focused. \n
Desirable:
\n- \n
- Experience delivering or facilitating training in an adult learning environment. \n
- Knowledge of learning styles and instructional models. \n
- Experience creating training content. \n
- A qualification in education or learning and development. \n
