Job Title: Senior Residential Care Worker
Locations: Whitchurch, SY13
Salary: £16/hour + £65 per sleep-in
Rota: 2 days on, 4 days off
Contract: Full-time (includes evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins)

About the Role
\n Our client provides specialist residential care for children affected by emotional and behavioural difficulties due to neglect, abuse, or trauma. They are looking for a skilled SeniorResidential Care Worker to help lead care teams and support young people in their Shropshire homes.

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Support and safeguard young people, acting as a positive role model
\n
• Supervise care staff and manage daily operations
\n
• Plan and lead shifts, ensuring quality care delivery
\n
• Attend reviews and represent young peoples interests
\n
• Assist with recruitment, training, and staff development
\n
• Deputise for the Registered or Deputy Manager when needed
\n

Requirements

\n
• Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People Workforce (or equivalent)
\n
• Experience in residential childcare and team supervision
\n
• Strong knowledge of care regulations and safeguarding
\n
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
\n
• Full UK driving licence (desirable)
\n
• Level 4/5 qualifications or therapeutic experience (desirable)
\n
