Interim Employment Lawyer. 7 PQE.
Job Description
We have been instructed by a leading international law firm that is looking to engage an experienced Employment Lawyer on an interim basis to provide additional support to its established Employment team.
\nThe assignment is to start ASAP and run until November 2026. The successful lawyer will join a team of around five lawyers, including two Partners, and will work closely with an Employment Partner.
\nThe workload will be predominantly non-contentious employment and corporate support, so the firm is particularly interested in lawyers with strong experience advising on the employment aspects of corporate transactions. This could include employment support on M&A and other transactional matters, alongside broader day-to-day advisory employment work.
\nSuccessful individuals are likely to have upwards of 7 years' PQE, and be capable of quickly integrating into the team and provide high-quality support with limited supervision. Previous experience gained within a leading City, international or similarly well-regarded law firm would be particularly attractive.
\nCandidates should ideally be able to demonstrate:
\n- \n
- Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales, although suitably experienced lawyers qualified in other commonwealth jurisdictions (such as Australia and/or New Zealand) will also be considered \n
- Upwards of 7 years' PQE in employment law \n
- Strong non-contentious employment law experience \n
- Notable experience providing employment law support on corporate transactions \n
- Experience gained within a leading law firm environment \n
- The ability to operate confidently and autonomously \n
- The capacity to start a new assignment immediately or at short notice \n
The firm operates a hybrid working model and would ideally like the successful lawyer to spend 2-3 days per week in its London office, although there is some flexibility on this.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Employment Lawyer to join a highly regarded international practice, working on quality non-contentious and transactional employment matters during a busy period for the team.
\nThe role will pay a competitive daily rate, inside IR35.
