Finance Manager

Our client, a Multi-Academy Trust based in Leicester, is looking for a Finance Manager to lead financial accounts, financial systems, controls and transactional finance across all academies and central services.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead administration and development of PS Financials, iComplete and related finance systems
\n
• Maintain financial controls, chart of accounts and compliance with the Academy Trust Handbook
\n
• Manage and develop a small finance team (Finance Assistant and Finance Apprentices)
\n
• Lead the review and reconciliation of key financial control accounts, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
\n
• Oversee purchase and sales ledger functions, ensuring supplier payments and income collection support effective cash flow
\n
• Maintain the integrity of financial records, coding structures and the chart of accounts
\n
• Support internal and external audits with evidence of financial controls and compliance
\n
• Manage and develop finance support staff, including a Finance Assistant and Finance Apprentice(s)
\n

The ideal candidate will be fully qualified, possessing Education Sector or Public Sector experience and be immediately available.
