Technical Surveyor

We are looking for a Technical Surveyor to carry out detailed property inspections and surveys, providing technical advice to support maintenance, repairs, and development projects. You will ensure all work meets legal, safety, and quality standards.Key accountabilitiesYour accountabilities will include but not limited to:Conduct property surveys to assess condition, identify defects, and recommend solutions.Maintain accurate records of surveys, works, and inspections.Demonstrate excellent customer service in all interactions and service delivery, ensuring a positive customer experience throughout.To promote Gateway values in all dealings with employees, clients, sub-contractors, and other external contactsEnsure that policies and processes are in line with legislative and regulatory requirements as well as good practice.Please refer to the attached job profile for more details.Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience:Strong written communication skills and verbal skills, with experience engaging with customers, colleagues, external stakeholders and enforcing bodiesExtensive knowledge of risk assessment and Health & Safety managementExperience in building surveying or a related technical field.Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.Strong level of knowledge of building construction standards, and legislation, and an ability to diagnose and specify remedies to building defectsExperience of undertaking assessments in line with the Housing Health & Safety Rating SystemSalary and benefitsOur benefits package includes:Annual Leave: starting at 28 days, plus Bank HolidaysSubsidised Health and Wellbeing MembershipSimply Health - help towards the costs of dentist, optician, and private medical appointments.Employee Assistance Programme - including free legal, financial and counselling advicePension - up to 10% employer contributionGateway Housing has been supporting communities to thrive since 1926.
