Warehouse & Product Assembly Manager
Job Description
Essential Duties
- Thrive in an active, hands-on role blending daily warehouse responsibilities with ad hoc product assembly and repackaging tasks; you will regularly alternate between operations and production floor work.
- Perform accurate item picking, product assembly, order staging, shipping and receiving activities, and conduct regular inventory cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Ensure the warehouse team operates in a safe, compliant and productive environment by modeling safe work practices and enforcing safety policies.
- Monitor and drive the daily production plan for pick, pack and ship operations as well as inbound receiving and returns processing, prioritizing tasks to meet operational targets.
- Assess weekly manpower needs and coordinate scheduling of short-term staff, working with internal resources and third-party temp agencies when required.
- Efficiently repack large volumes of bulk items into ready-to-ship configurations, optimizing processes to reduce handling time and waste.
- Properly weigh, wrap and label skids and prepare shipment documentation; oversee loading and unloading of trailers and containers.
- Manage daily trucking activities including scheduling, routing, communication and carrier control to ensure on-time deliveries and pickups.
- Continuously review warehouse and assembly processes to identify inefficiencies and propose practical improvements to streamline workflows.
- Provide regular, concise and detailed updates to management, who may be frequently off-site, ensuring clear visibility to operations metrics and issues.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience managing a warehouse operation with a strong emphasis on maintaining a safe working environment.
- Preferred experience partnering with temp agencies for hiring and supervising short-term staff.
- Preferred experience designing efficient assembly line layouts and repacking large quantities for outbound orders.
- Required experience in shipping, receiving, pallet assembly, loading/unloading containers and product rework.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform standing, stooping, reaching and walking for sustained periods.
- Proven attention to detail, strong problem solving, time management, organization, multitasking and independent decision-making skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Strong communication and customer service orientation, with the ability to maintain motivation when working independently.

Salary/Compensation: $47,000 - $52,000 per year
