Eligibility Criteria

• A Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. medical or osteopathic school is required.

• A current medical license to practice in the United States, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico is necessary.
• Eligibility for board certification is required.
• Completion of at least one year in an approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship is mandatory.
• A completed training program in general surgery is essential.
• U.S. citizenship is required for Active Duty service.
• A permanent U.S. residency is necessary for those in the Army Reserve.
