The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in delivering personalized nursing care through the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating patient care and conducting assessments
- Providing patient education and triage services
- Implementing various nursing interventions
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, to plan and evaluate care
The RN is expected to demonstrate proficiency and operate within the full scope of nursing knowledge, adhering to age and population-specific standards relevant to their clinical environment. Compliance with the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice is essential. Our nursing practice framework is grounded in the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses as established by the American Nurses Association.
Qualifications- Graduation from an accredited nursing program is preferred, including institutions recognized by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
- A Bachelor’s Degree in nursing is preferred.
- Possession of an unencumbered RN license from the State Board of Nursing in the practice location, or multistate licensure if applicable under the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Must obtain and maintain necessary department-specific licenses, competencies, and certifications.
