Travel Hospital Pharmacist in Middleton, WI

A travel pharmacist opportunity is available at a 75-bed hospital in Medford, WI, offering a chance to provide comprehensive pharmacy services in a dynamic inpatient setting. This role begins ASAP and extends for 13 weeks with potential to extend.

Schedule/Hours:

• Primarily 10-hour day shifts
• Weekend rotations include 8-hour shifts

Responsibilities:

• Manage several concurrent tasks within the central inpatient pharmacy, including verifying EPIC electronic orders, reviewing technician work, and responding to pharmacist inquiries
• Dispense and oversee inpatient and outpatient intravenous medications, unit dose medications, and outpatient chemotherapy treatments
• Support various clinical areas such as Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, emergency department, inpatient and outpatient surgery, and outpatient oncology
• Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure safe, efficient medication delivery

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist with experience in hospital pharmacy settings
• Proficient in EPIC electronic medical record system
• Skilled in handling inpatient and outpatient IV medications, chemotherapy, and unit dose dispensing
• Ability to handle busy inpatient census averaging 30-40 patients
• Strong communication and multitasking skills to manage diverse responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
