Job Overview

DATES REQUIRED:

From July 13th to August 3rd. Candidates should be available for all or at least two of these weeks.

Location: Louisiana

Work Environment:

This position is focused on inpatient care and surgical procedures only.

Reason for Coverage:

This opportunity arises due to scheduling requirements.

Shifts:

• 24-hour call coverage for inpatient and surgical services, 3 to 4 days per week.
• One weekend of call coverage is expected.
• Other days will involve 8-hour shifts for inpatient rounding and surgical duties.

Patient Volume:

Approximately 90 surgeries and procedures are anticipated each month.

Types of Cases:

• Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
• Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS)
• Thoracotomies
• Lobectomies
• Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Repairs
• Arterial Bypasses
• Aortic Valve Replacements

Licensing Requirements:

A valid Louisiana medical license is required.

Electronic Medical Record System:

Experience with EPIC is preferred.
