Account Manager - Construction Estimating & Project Oversight
\n Purpose:
\n As an Account Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and documenting all aspects of one or more scopes of work, including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical. You will work closely with the estimating department, upper management, field personnel, general contractors, and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are accurately estimated, stay on schedule, and remain within budget.
\n Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the estimating department to review and refine budget allocations for each scope of work, ensuring accurate cost projections.
\nAnalyze construction estimates to identify cost-saving opportunities and risk factors.
\nMaintain an effective relationship with field personnel, working with general superintendents and site superintendents to keep projects progressing efficiently.
\nProvide detailed reports on job progress, cost analysis, and budget adherence to upper management and other departments.
\nEnsure project quality and compliance by overseeing installation standards, cost control, and procurement strategies.
\nManage all aspects of construction estimating, including bid analysis, takeoffs, labor/material costs, and change order pricing.
\nOversee day-to-day operations, including budget management, subcontractor agreements and payments, submittals, change orders, and material coordination.
\nMonitor and manage accruals, billing, and financial tracking for each scope of work.
\nLead, mentor, and instill company values in direct and indirect reports to foster a culture of accountability and efficiency.
\nQualifications:
\nStrong understanding of construction estimating principles, including takeoffs, labor, material pricing, and bid analysis.
\nExperience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control in construction projects.
\nComplex problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
\nNegotiation and conflict resolution expertise.
\nGeneral computer proficiency, including estimating software and project management tools.
\nAbility to multitask and manage time effectively under tight deadlines.
\nExcellent communication skills for engaging with builders, general contractors, and project managers.
\nLeadership ability to empower teams and drive project success.
\nStrong work ethic, attention to detail, and initiative in decision-making.
\nFlexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and work under pressure.
