- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tractor-trailer and submit a DOT inspection report detailing its condition.
- Verify the accuracy of the bill of lading and store keys for off-hour deliveries.
- Operate the tractor-trailer to the destination, utilizing knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skills for maneuvering the vehicle on roads and customer premises.
- Maintain a driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) in compliance with DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipts, product temperatures, and any exceptions.
- Unload the trailer and deliver products to customer locations.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Possess a valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL-A).
- Have a minimum of 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of experience driving a tractor-trailer.
- Meet our organization’s MVR and risk rating standards.
- This role requires the ability to read, write, and comprehend English at a level necessary for performing job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and essential communications related to the position, ensuring compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
