Pre-Fab Technician

Role: Pre-Fabrication Technician

Location: Redmond, WA

Employment Type: 13 week W2 Contract ot Hire (must be local to Redmond or open to relocating there)

Shift: First Shift to start (6:30 - 4:30) then will move to second shift (2:30 - 12:30)

Hours: 50/week

Requirements:

\n
• 3+ years of hands-on experience operating waterjets, plasma cutters, laser cutters, or similar fabrication equipment
\n
• 5+ years preferred
\n
• Experience with FLOW or OMAX systems strongly preferred
\n
• Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances
\n
• Experience with GD&T and precision measurement tools preferred
\n
• Comfortable performing basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting
\n
• Strong computer aptitude and ability to learn machine programming
\n
• Open to experienced fabricators or welders looking to move into programming and machine operation
\n
• Able to work independently and meet aggressive production schedules
\n

Responsibilities:

• Operate waterjet, plasma, laser, and other fabrication equipment
\n
• Program and optimize machine cutting paths
\n
• Produce structural components to drawing specifications
\n
• Prepare parts for downstream weld, machining, and paint operations
\n
• Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and fabrication drawings
\n
• Perform quality checks and dimensional inspections
\n
• Maintain fabrication equipment and work areas
\n
• Support material handling and fabrication workflow
\n
• Identify and communicate equipment or process improvement opportunities
\n
• Uphold safety and quality standards
